The Ranch Cisarua, Puncak
The Ranch Cisarua Puncak is opened following the success of De Ranch in Lembang, Bandung. The theme is the same in terms of horse riding. But that's where the similarity ends. While De Ranch in Lembang leans toward the cowboy styles, The Ranch in Cisarua leans toward the medieval age, with castle and Robin Hood costumes.
Explore The Ranch Cisarua Puncak
Ready to explore The Ranch? First, we paid entrance fee of Rp.
20,000/person at the parking gate, which can be exchanged with a cup of
fresh milk or the ticket can be used to deduct our restaurant bill. Most
area of the main building is occupied by the restaurant, but the best
view is on the upper floor facing the backyard. The menu is mainly
Sundanese cuisines and the taste is just so so. Luckily, the view pays off.
Although The Ranch in Cisarua is smaller than De Ranch in Lembang, The Ranch's landscape is more beautiful. The medieval age theme can be seen throughout the park. In one side it has castle wall complete with the windows. We can walk through the path passing Jembatan Dongeng (fairy tale bridge in English) to a small garden to feed the rabbits. At the end of the path we will find a sweet stand and huge doors that lead to the horses.
In the middle of the ground is the horse track where we can ride a horse. However, the track is much shorter than the track in De Ranch Lembang while each horse is lead by its keeper, i.e. it is really for the guests who rarely ride any horse but want to have a taste of riding one. We also can herd and feed sheep in the middle of the horse track.
While the castle wall is on the right side of the backyard and the horse track is on the middle, the view of the left side is the most beautiful one. There are two buildings in the middle of the garden. One looks like a tiny castle, where we can buy gelatos and coffees. The other one is a souvenir shop. The garden itself is decorated with a bridge with a small stream under it and surrounded with lush flowers, shrubs and trees. This place is really instagramable ;-)
Another fun activity we can join here at The Ranch in Cisarua is archery. There are 2 types of archery offered:
- Children archery at the ground floor of the main building. Most of the participants here are children and the targets are stuff animals perched on a standing wooden log across the yard. There is a prize for anyone who can take off three targets from the total 6 arrows they got in each game. The distance to the target is near and there are three group of targets with different heights. We can choose whichever target is more convenient for us to shoot. We must buy extra ticket for this activity. Each ticket covers six arrows and a Robin Hood like costume.
- The traditional archery is more challenging. The target is made of straws and the arrow is a bit sharp.
Each of these activities requires additional ticket. On average each will cost you Rp. 25,000 and there is not all day ticket we can buy for all of these games and rides.
